Cork Aiirport crash: How did ANYONE walk away from this?


TWO survivors somehow walked away yesterday from the burning wreck of a passenger plane that crashed in thick fog at Cork Airport.

Four other victims found alive in the debris were taken to safety.

But six people died in the horrific crash, which happened as the pilot of the commuter flight from Belfast tried for a THIRD time to land at the fog-shrouded airport.

The plane cartwheeled into the air after hitting the ground and hurtled 1000 feet before crashing upside-down and catching fire.

Reports last night said one of the dead was a relative of Irish president Mary McAleese.

This is a very horrific accident. I wondered at the time of this whether there would be anyone of significance on the plane and low and behold it is a cousin to the President!!
