Hearing songs at inappropriate moments

I can't be the only person who notices that sometimes you hear a certain song at precisely the wrong moment.

The two that come to mind for me are Supreme by Robbie Williams and Run by Snow Patrol.

Despite being a pretty generic "lack of love" song Supreme will always remind me of 9/11. I found out about what had happened that day during the last lesson of the day (biology, the lesson was about teeth), and when I got home that song was just starting on the radio. I remember saying to my mum that it wasn't really appropriate, given the first line ("Oh, it seems forever stopped today / all the lonely hearts in London caught a plane and flew away").

Secondly, and much less world changing (Butterfly effect notwithstanding...) Run reminds me of one of my ex girlfriends, because it was on the radio when we split up.
