why does france not take blame for ww2 or 1?

going back in history France was a strong aggressor ( yet was defeated each time lol)

prior to ww1 France tried to take over the world with napoleon.... leading to arms races/ nationalism around Europe to defend each others lands.. then they invaded Germany in 1870 in the franco prussian war which they lost.

now speed up to ww1 duke is assassinated.. Russia masses units.. Germany fears attack, so attacks.. goes on the counter on France for fear of attack from France... boom ww1

now the war ends.. Britain and USA arent keen on harsh punishment on germany.. yet France is but hurt from the war of 1870 and tells Germany to surrender taking full responsibility ( when it was Russians/Austria and serbia ) and pay back shit load of money which most allies agreed was to harsh but still went with it.


few years later.. economy crashes.. germany says it cant pay debt ask france to lower reparations or let them pay in smaller amounts.. france still but hurt says no invades Ruhr harasses Germans steals their factories and jobs makes germany even more fugged...

people wanted change.. hitler promised it.. soviets and facists fought for control of Germany in political street gun battles, political assassinations are the norm... the democrats disliked Bolsheviks saw Hitler as a better person.. there goes ww2.
