Yes indeed. It is a time for partying and playing of music. The peaceful revolution was a thing of beauty, and something to celebrate and admire. However, this is only the beginning of the story about the Egyptian revolution of 2011.

The millions of protesters are victorious and can now freely say so, but what happens in the elections when the other 70 million are given a say electorally? If that is even what will eventually happen.

Reality could be the spoiler of this party, and I worry that the masses of Egyptians do not share the desire for a governance that is not Islamic in nature. Old ways die hard.

The events of today are merely the forward for a book that is yet to be written. What will happen now, is something I pray will bring the Egyptian people into a new age befitting the demonstrator's courage and perseverance. But it is by no means a certainty. The wolves of the past are waiting in the wings, and if the optimistic and idealistic youth should falter...

What happens then?
