World’s Largest Volcano Yellowstone Caldera To Erupt

Kind of a scary headline, but good info, none the less.

Quote from Article:
"Scientists monitoring Caldera believe that a swelling magma reservoir six miles underground may be causing the recent uplifts. They are also observing a ‘pancake-shaped blob’ of molten rock, about the size of Los Angeles, which was pressed into the volcano some time ago."
Oh is that all......lol

I admit that my eyes got kinda big when I saw how big it is. 498.3 sq mi is how large Los Angeles is.

Yep, that's a big blob for sure. First time I've heard about that.

I knew that it grew (or got pushed up) like 7 inches in an incredibly short period of time and then had some harmonic looking tremors going on in the last few weeks. That and all the web cams being "out of service" right now makes things look suspicious up there.

You know I read somewhere that the more pressure that builds to move the lava up the worse the volcano will be. Makes me wonder how much extra pressure will build to move that large blob the size of Los Angeles.

Er just hold tight. I hate to reference another site but these guys have been watching the activity for YEARS. Right now they are noticing the discrepancies with earthquakes being erased from the seismometers. Normally when this happens there is a logical explanations.
About the uplift, it's been doing that over and over for thousands of years, not necessarily a reason to panic.......yet.
Watch the thread and see what they find out.
