Then we had about 1 hours of non-stop phone calls from our friends from Tahrir, Palace...I then left the house of my friends and let them drop me at my place. It takes normally less than 5 minutes, took 15 to get home because ALL the cars are out honking, kids with flags, singing the national anthem...screaming "YA MISR" (EGYPT) and so on...it was incredible.
I just got home and started to prepare for later - everybody is either still in Tahrir or celebrating with family, and then my friends will come over for some drinks.
THANK YOU ALL LSN - YOU ALL ROCK!!!!! I'm so happy I had a chance to share this experience with you all.
LSN peeps
SANKIS YOU FROM EGYPT
Babsi we are all here with you!
A special chatroom open just for this at the bottom of the homepage
Ok, I'll go on the chatroom for a while til my friends show up - just watched the statement from the Army.
Their statements are a gazillion times better than those of Mubarak and Sillyman ever made. They address the people in the proper way and soon they will address us again to give us the exact steps of how things will be run from now on. How organized and humble. My highest respect for this Military really! Ok See you in chat?

That might be just, but would be an international disaster. Small steps.

Thanks all !
Thank you Janey!
And thanks to the webmasters!
And thanks to all who contributed!
And finally, thanks to all who kept me company lurking in the background and supporting Egypt (you know who you are) =)
You guys are all so wonderful and intelligent – I feel so lucky to have stumbled across LSN. Perhaps a subject will come up that I can actually contribute to, hehehe.
One suggestion for the webmasters…
Make a thread for “Comments / Suggestions for the Webmasters” (if there isn’t one, I didn’t look too hard yet…)
For my first suggestion:
Would it be possible to set up a PayPal account for Janey – so I can buy her a beer
And a PayPal account for the Webmasters – so I can contribute to the Web Hosting
What a scary time for Egyptians – they’re entering the unknown =) How exhilarating though!

Viva Egypt! I'm astounded this Revolution happened without violence from protestors, it was televised & I saw it all, felt like a part of it all due in large part to LSN! I even feel like you're all my cousin's from around the globe

Re: Mubarak Steps Down
"The BBC's Persian TV service is being jammed from within Iran due to its coverage of the unrest in Egypt."
"It appears that the trigger point was a joint broadcast on Wednesday by the corporation's Persian and Arabic services in which Iranian and Egyptian callers exchanged views."
"Many Iranian viewers said during the interactive programme that they were watching events unfold in Cairo extremely closely."
http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/greenslade/2011/feb/11/bbc-iran
It seems Iran is getting worried.
