Explosives found after Moscow metro arrest
A man arrested at Kurskaya metro station on Thursday morning had traces of explosives on his hands, police claim.
A source in Moscow’s law enforcement told Interfax that the 24-year-old, originally from Nalchik in the North Caucasus, was stopped for a document check in the circle line station at about 11:30 am.
“The check revealed that he had arrived in Moscow on Monday, ostensibly to seek work,” the source said.
“When checking his hands with a special device which allows a rapid analysis of the possible presence of explosives, the man had traces of an explosive similar to RDX.”
