Wish List - Technical - Site Issues

Just a suggestion, you should change the email alert defaults on sign up to OFF, this feature should be an opt in, not an opt out, otherwise you will get lots of emails asking how to turn it off.

for those who want to turn it off, it's under Profile/Preferences:

Always notify me of replies :
Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post.

Yea I think it is up to the member to change it but I will look to see if it can be done from our side when I have more time

Maybe:
Environment chat for all related news which are quite a lot, like weather, animal die-offs, dam projects, pollutions etc...
and maybe earthquakes&volcanos for all geoseismic activities?

Yea I see what you are saying, I ll change it now. I ll add one for weather and the rest can fall into the chat thread and once again if one thread gets al ot of attention we add it to the home page.

the threads which are now in the scientic or breaking-news subforums, moving the the subforums where they better fit

monsoon/flood in sri lanka -> weather subforum

yellowstone caldera -> earthquakes&volcanos

and so on

I found out that the little 1 next to the home button is the calendar, i gues the calendar button is not funtioning properly. And btw you can remove my post in the egypt thread as it is not supposed to be there !

Yea I noticed that about the calendar, just have to live with it for now but it's annoying me! I ll move that thread now.

I've been looking for a post that I made to Babsi that has disappeared. In fact, I think the whole thread that it was in is gone. I think it was one of the "GLP is back" threads, but I can't find it now, and it doesn't even show up when i do a search to find all of my posts. Did you delete some threads or posts?

LLL deleted the thread. We thought it was getting a little out of hand. I am heading off to bed, don't go too crazy. lol
