(AGI) Tripoli - Al Jazeera reports that at least seven people died in Tripoli last night at the hands of Gaddafi loyalists.
The website also reports that the two Libyan pilots who fled to Malta rather than fire on their compatriots say that some of the pilots who bombed demonstrators in Tripoli and Benghazi were Serb mercenaries.

COLONEL Gaddafi secretly deposited 3 billion pounds ($4.8bn) with one of London's Mayfair private wealth managers last week as he sought to protect his family's fortunes.

The deal was brokered on his behalf by a Swiss-based intermediary who, it is understood, had previously approached another well-known City stockbroking firm five weeks ago with a view to depositing funds.

However, when that stockbroker discovered the ultimate identity of the source of the funds, it advised the intermediary to take his business elsewhere.

The chief executive of the firm told The Times: "I said no, because personally I'm not comfortable dealing with murdering tyrants with blood on their hands."

OK guys here's the update from #Tripoli, directly from sources/eyewitnesses. I had sent two lists of questions yesterday.
First, they confirmed that Gaddafi troops don't hold territory, but rather move out to kill and then go back to Bab al Azizia.
They described the Gaddafi troops in #Tripoli as being "directed" rather than "autonomous", suggesting a centralize command.
This means all talk about Gaddafi losing control over #Tripoli are inaccurate; he's still able to control it without holding it.

Unconfirmed reports say mercenaries carried out a room-to-room search at Rixos, a two-storey hotel in the centre of Tripoli. #Libya #feb17

However, my sources did confirm that there is no regime security personnel on the ground at all in most of #Tripoli.
Also confirmed that AK-47's are being distributed to Gaddafi supporters with directions to shoot unarmed civilians if they protest.
