I think I know Obama pretty well. And in my opinion, his greatest fear is of making a political mistake that makes him look bad
or flat out wrong about something. There is no way for him to commit to any real position concerning Libya, without running
some political risk. Therefore, he is extremely hesitant to speak about it. That's why he's been absent during these events.

He is terrified of having to comment on it, or take a strong position.

I think it will be some type of Bagdad Bob style statement. Like "There's no real protests going on. The reports on bombing civilians

the WH seem to be making every effort to say absolutely next to nothing. A lot of journos are saying already that is makes the President look weak. I think the truth of it is, they sit and wait to see who is going to win in these events and then pick a side

Cowards if I may say...US is losing every support from people of middle east...people of Egypt have not forgot how quite US was until last days...and the tunisians the same, libyans will do the same, and all other arabs sees and hears the silence...

Im just putting a news article from AlJ in the ME room about the UN meeting today. As I panned down there is a photo of 2 dead martyrs. They look very loved and peaceful and all I can think of is that these two lads are sons, brothers and possibly fathers

I completely agree with you. It is despicable for an American president to not be getting behind people that are
protesting and dying for a representative government and a better life. I can understand him being hesitant to send
troops or invade to help them, but I DO NOT understand his lack of support for them in words. Quite despicable.
