The people cannot believe in anyone but themselves... and they are not armed.

Dr Nasser El Nadi speaking on Sky News and calling on all the European and American people to support the Egyptian people. He specifically said he's calling on the people and not the EU and American governments.

... just got here as been rushing to get all my work, shopping and chores done so I can stay for the day apart from getting my son from school or answering phone calls. Another important day ahead in Egypt and the crowds in the Square are absolutely amazing. Watching all of this unfold has restored my faith in human nature - Thank you Egyptian people!

The doctor being interviewed on Sky News was saying how some of the army are part of the regime and that's why they don't want change.

I've just put PressTV on and there are many, many people outside the State TV bulding.

No not a wordm they are showing friday prayer sermon from alexandria now

Lots of talk about the army and whether some will side with the people while others will back the regime because they're part of the regime. I assume those siding with the regime will be higher ranking officials but if lower ranks refuse to follow their orders then what?
